included 53 films and was narrowed down to these five, using a point-based system:

1st place - ghostbusters (1984)
2nd place - the jerk (1979)
3rd place - this is spinal tap (1984)
4th place - ¡three amigos! (1986)
5th place - national lampoon's vacation (1983)

many of the 53 films tied for last place. among them were trading places, spies like us, brewster's millions, all of me, and sixteen candles.
